It is estimated that more than three million Ghanaians, mostly living in rural farming communities in the Northern part of the country are vulnerable to food insecurity.
This is due to the challenges confronting the Agricultural sector.
To address this, there is the need to empower farmers through increased private sector investment and access to finance in the Agricultural sector.
These came up at the opening of the 2017 Agriculture and Agribusiness Forum in Accra.
