One may be living in a fool’s paradise to think that no student or pupils in the country sits on the floor to write during classes.
This is because, as we speak, pupils of Bondaye Methodist Primary and Bondaye D/A Primary schools at Prestea in the Western region sits on the floor to write due to inadequate desk in the school.
The problem is said to be being going on for the past four years and there seems to be no end in sight.
A member of Bondaye Unit Committee, Mr. Charles Asare who confirmed the story to Fox News said they have done all in their powers to get the authorities to come to their aide but to no avail.
The Methodist Primary school which has a population of about 300 has only three classrooms compelling the authorities of the school to combine two classes in each classroom.
As if that is not enough, they also lack desks forcing three or four pupils to sit on a desk while others sits on the floor to write during classes
Mr. Charles Asare said the situation at the Methodist Primary school is no different from what pertains at the D/A Primary school.
He appealed to government to come to the aide within the shortest possible time.
