GARDJA congratulates 2019 National Best farmer

Dear Mr. Charles Gyemfi,

CONGRATULATIONS

On behalf of the Ghana Agricultural and Rural Development Journalists Association (GARDJA), we write to congratulate you on your award as 2019 National Best Farmer.

No one deserves this award better than you. It appropriately reflects the 25 years you have spent producing cocoa, cassava, maize, garden eggs, citrus fruits, and rearing livestock, poultry among others, not the least of which you stopped taking care of humanity.

We are also excited that you continue to climb up the ladder, having previously won the national best cocoa farmer award. This is ample evidence that hard work pays and that a great future is within the reach of all of us if we work towards it.

You are a great example to our youth who are considering agriculture as a carrier path in this challenging world of unemployment. And we will urge you to take interest in either setting up or collaborating with others institutions on projects to consciously mentor some of these young people not to give up agriculture.

This way, you will not only be creating jobs and helping ensure food sufficiency; but you will also be helping secure the future food security of our nation which we must all work to make sure is not left to chance.

On behalf of our members across the country, partners and other stakeholders, the association wishes you extra-ordinary success in future. We look forward to working with you to help ensure increased youth involvement in agriculture and as well help create opportunities for you to impart your skills and knowledge to your colleague farmers so they can begin as successful as you have become.

Thank you.

Signed
