Ghana and Germany have signed a thirty four million Euro financial cooperation framework agreement to support the agricultural and financial sectors of the economy as well as the country’s renewable energy efficiency programme.
The agreement is part of a 74.1 million Euro commitment from Germany for a 3 year period to grow the sectors.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Accra, the German Ambassador to Ghana, Rudiger John, said the agreement forms part of an ongoing discussion to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper said, while inflows from donor partners have dwindled due to Ghana’s middle income status, Germany has remained a committed partner.
