The people of Dadease and Akotosu in the Sekyere Kumawu district of Ashanti are calling on the authorities to provide the communities with Clinics, Police Station and Public place of convenience.
According to them, the provision of such social amenities in the communities will go a long way to improve upon their standard of living.
The queenmother of Dadease, Nana Akua Achiaa II made the call when the DCE for Sekyere Kumawu Emmanuel William Amoako paid a working visit to the town.
The two towns, Dadease and Akotosu, are farming communities that produces a lot of cassava and plantain to feed the country but lacks basic amenities like portable drinking water, toilet facilities, clinics and police post.
Road network in the area is also nothing to write home about.
Nana Achiaa II disclosed that the community has already reserve large tract of land for the construction of police post and clinic in the town.
In response, Hon. Emmanuel Amoako promised to collaborate with the people of the two communities to provide them with their needs.
He appealed to the people in the area to rekindle their communal spirit
