Kizito picks 2017 IFAJ Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Award

The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ), has named Business and Financial Times Ashanti Regional Correspondent, also a gardjagh.org online editor, Kizito Cudjoe, as a recipient of the 2017 IFAJ Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Award.

The IFAJ’s Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Award recognizes the leadership potential of young members from countries belonging to IFAJ, and supports their participation at an IFAJ congress through this award, designed to help offset travel and registration.

“IFAJ’s award program is part of the Federation’s deep commitment to professional development. Participating and reviewing the entries provides all our members opportunities to learn from colleagues around the world and appreciate exposure to some of the industry’s best work.”

The IFAJ is an international organization of agricultural journalists.

In all 10 agriculture journalists have been selected to receive the award in April 2016 at South Africa.The selection process consisted of points for a written submission, the judge’s impression of the candidates’ leadership potential, their proven leadership abilities and a narrative explaining their interest in the young leaders program.

In a media release by the IFAJ, it noted that the award support the winner’s participation in an IFAJ congress and an intensive boot camp-style workshop.

This year’s boot camp takes place  March 29, prior to the IFAJ congress in South Africa.

The award has existed for 12 years now and almost 110 journalists have already received the chance to strengthen their skills and expand their global network through their excellent program

  1. wow… I am not surprised that Kizito Cudjoe won this… he has been an outstanding journalist ever since I met him in 2015….congrats Sir.
