The Ashanti Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), has said about 30 hardworking farmers in the Region will be awarded during this year’s regional farmers’ day celebrations slated to come off at Tepa.
Regional Director, MoFA, Mr. Kwaku Menkah Fordjour, who disclosed this to gardia.org explained that the categories of the awards have been grouped into the following 11 areas livestock; cash crop; fisheries; fish processing input supply and oil plantation business.
He said the best regional farmer award comes with variety of packages and farming equipment to boost their yield.
For instance the regional best oil palm farmer will get a refrigerator among other farming implements. Other award winners could also take home table top fridges and among others.
