People of Ahwiam cry for social services

Mr Francis Teye Addotsu, Assemblyman for Ahwiam in the Ningo/Prampram District, has appealed to the Ghana Water Company Limited for regular flow of water to the community.

He said for about six months now the taps are not flowing and that has compelled the people to use unsafe water from ponds, which they share with animals.

Mr Addotsu made the appeal when he took the Ghana News Agency round to inspect some of the sources of water for their household use.

He said the people are poor and could not afford tanker water supply mentioning that one yellow gallon of water cost GH₵1.00.

The Assemblyman also said there is no health facility in the area and the people depend on drug stores for their health needs, which create problems to pregnant women during delivery.

He called on the government to come to their aid, saying it is urgent.

He pleaded with the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the dilapidated road that links the communities from Ningo.xahwiam-cry1.jpg.pagespeed.ic.Gvb_A1NCsF
