Police and Military Officers in Agogo are reneging on their duties

fulaniResidents of Asante Akyem Agogo are accusing the chiefs and police in the area of taking money from the fulanis and allowing them (the fulanis) to kill, maim and destroy their farms.
They are also accusing the military officers sent to protect the indigenes against attacks from the fulanis of abandoning their job as security officers and resorted to womanizing.
A resident of Agogo, Owusu Ansah a.k.a Agya Wusu said the soldiers have been sleeping with the young girls in the town indiscriminately.
Owusu Ansah said had it not been the fact that the building being used as police station in the town is a private property, they would have burnt it to ashes by now.
Meanwhile, the people of Asante Akyem Agogo have defended their decision to take the law into their own hands and protect themselves against attacks from Fulani herdsmen whom are killing and maiming people in the area.
The youth of the town last Tuesday declared war on Fulani herdsmen operating in Agogo land.
At a press conference, the youth said since the police have failed to protect them from being attacked, killed and maim by the nomads, they have no option than to take the law into their hands and defend themselves anytime they come under attack.
However, security experts have lashed out at the leaders of the youth over their decision describing it as a recipe for chaos
But, speaking to Fox News on their decision, one of the leaders of the Agogo youth who is also the Communications Director of the National Democratic Party, Ernest Owusu Bempah justified their move  saing they cannot sit aloof for the fulanis to kill and rape them.
Meanwhile, the Gyaasehene of Agogo, Nana Agyei Frimpong has threatened to invoke the spirit of deities in the country to deal with anybody who will implicate him in the Fulani saga.

  1. Greetings
Please, I am desperately seeking reassurance as to the well being of Mavis Ortiz. We met on Facebook in early 2016 and became fast friends. She is/was working as a nurse at Agogo Presbyterian Hospital. She broke communication mid April last year, though she indicated financial problems. Please help
    Thanks in advance,
