The buzz word of the lucrative poultry industry, he stressed, exists in the dynamism and the entrepreneurial skills of the growing youth.
In a special interview with the Oyerepa news at the KNUST in Kumasi, Dr Boris noted that “the ever-demanding poultry farming keeping stand the test of transforming their lives and future.
Admitting the capital intensive nature of the industry, he challenged the government with a start-up working capital scheme to support the youth with adequate funding to soar their interests.
The Ashanti regional poultry farmers association is fascinating and implementing an open door policy to prospective young and enterprising youth who desires to go into the poultry production with free consultancy services.
Our mandate is to galvanize support for everyone aspiring to go into the poultry business and farming with cogent and proper business and action plan.
The time has come for all the actors in the poultry industry to come together and foster a better policy direction for the industry, that would enable them to have full control over the industry, he said.
