Solidaridad International poised to revamp Ghana’s cocoa sector

Solidaridad International poised to revamp cocoa production in the country by engaging more youth in cocoa plantation.
Mr. Eric Agyare, the programme coordinator for solidarida international West Africa disclosed this to Gardja that the organization in partnership with master card is set to resource and equip youth in cocoa production dubbed “new generation cocoa youth program” to maintain and sustain cocoa production in Ghana.
According to him, those in the production of cocoa are aging and there is the need to get equal replacement, hence the need to focus more on the youth.

Speaking at the 3rd annual general meeting of kookoopa, a farmer based organization working in the cocoa sector, he assured farmers of better policies and programs to boost their yield in the coming years.
